When I'm on the net, periodically the screen goes blank then restores itself. I'm then getting a message "intel graphics accelerator for windows 10 stopped working" Any ideas on the cause and any remedy please?

Many thanks

My first port of call would be to check if you have the latest drivers for your graphics card,

that's really helpful, I'll give it a try.
Windows 10? Have you got a time machine or something?

I'd also start with updating your video driver. However, since you say that the problem only occurs when you're online, that suggests that your browser (or, more likely, a plug-in for that browser) might be causing a conflict with the video driver. Try disabling any recently installed extemsions or simply try a different browser.

scrawls D on forehead windows 7, doh!

just tried chrisgel's link - the java download you need to get to the diagnostic was corrupt, so the whole laptop crashed

I'm using chrome, as far as I'm aware without any recent extensions but I'll have a look. Thank you.
