Why not just network the 3 together ?
I'm unsure about the switch, it may depend on what type of connection the drive uses. but I'm not sure I'd recommend switching things over and back again while all is powered up.

Nope, not for USB.
If you happen to have a BT home hub you can plug the drive into that and it will be accessible to any computer on your home network, or you can buy USB NAS (network attached storage) adapters http:// (I've never used the one above, neither do I endorse the seller, this is just an example) |
