Connecting to wireless network

Got a friend staying with a laptop and trying to connect them to my wireless network...........how do I do this please? Thanks for any help.

Tell them the key for your Wifi router.
when they switch on and enable wireless it will find all available networks in the area.

If they click on yours it will probably ask for a password which you should have somewhere from when it was set up.
