ADOBE READER

I inadvertently erased it,i can download it but just cannot get it to install...It keeps saying"Bootstrapper for single installation encountered a problem and needs to close" Then "general installation error" How can I get it back as I urgently need to download an address label which I cannot do without it !?

What exactly do you mean by "accidentally erased it"?
It sounds as if you still have it installed.
Go to Control Panel and then either "Programs and Features" (Vista and Windows 7) or "Add or remove programs" (XP) and check that it's not in the list.
If it is, double-click and choose to repair the installation.

Thanks Rojash but I managed to reinstall it...The only problem I keep getting told to update it and every time I try it's the same as I said (Doesn't download). I will have to manage without updating it...John.

Probably fixed all the security problems Reader had recently. This is stand-alone installer. Uninstall the old Adobe Reader from Add/remove first to remove most of the old junk. Have fun .. : ) Al...
