Archiving e mails in Outlook 10

Work has updated our email programme to Outlook 10. I was ok with version 7, fudged how to archive but now I'm completely baffled (doesn't tak emuch) as to how to archive mails in this newer version.

Any idiots guide as to how to?

Hello,

You can archive mails in Outlook either manually or automatically.
For manual archiving use following steps :
-Click File → Cleanup Tools → Archive.
-Click on the option “Archive this folder and all subfolders option” and select the folder which you want to archive.
-Enter a date in “Archive items older than”. Also in the Archive File box, browse a different location if do not want to go for the default location.

In case you want any item to be excluded from the archiving select the feature Include items with “Do not AutoArchive” as checked.

For automatic archiving, select File → Option → Advanced → click on AutoArchive Settings button. In AutoArchive window, choose the settings as you require and click OK.

Regards
Jane
