Buying a Lap Top

Please give me info on how do I transfer info from desktop to laptop.

You need to use something like a pen drive with a big capacity - and you'll plug it into the USB slot, highlight all your 'doc's and 'pictures' folders on your desktop, then paste into the pen drive.
To get this stuff onto the laptop, plug in the pen drive and repeat the process -copy, paste.
You can buy a piece of software called Intellimover. It does the job in no time. Got mine from PC World.

You should be routinely backing up your files anyway, so buy an external hard drive and use it for back up and transfers.
