Two to the right of the L - just below the @ sign
By pressing the apostrophe key?, assuming it's a standard UK keyboard it should be on the middle row about 3 keys in from the right (on the same key as the @ sign)

has one looked at the keyboard ?? it's there
I live and learn...... I've alway's used the `on the top of the number's line next to 1 and !. But what is the vertical line used for on the same key next to the `?
I don't know what any of the symbols on the key next to 1 (above Tab) are.
I never use them too
"I don't know what any of the symbols on the key next to 1 (above Tab) are."

I would class myself as an advanced user.... I don't use anything on that key either :)

One is the grave accent (`)

one is ¬..... bugger knows!

The other one I can't even type using that key (I use linux) but it's often mistaken for the pipe symbol (|)
which is the pipe then chuck, the one next to Z?
'
I use that for giving an unimpressed look Chuck ¬¬

Some people do ¬_¬ but I like it my way better :)
Boxy...

Yes, the pipe symbol is (generally) next to Z....

It basically means take the output from one command and "pipes" it into a second command.

It's kinda hard to explain it until you see it in use, then it's bloody useful.
or maybe the below link could be more useful.....

`'

Thats the difference between my key to the left of my number 1 key - not much really
