iPad signal strength

Sometimes, usually in an evening, I find the signal strength on my iPad insufficient to watch a music video on YouTube with very slow buffering and often it freezes with a message "unable to access YouTube" but using the same router I can access it fully on my iPhone with very fast loading and no problems at all. Any ideas please.

are you using it in a blindspot? I dont think it matters what wifi gadget you are using if you are far away from the router or in a blindspot then it can cause havoc with anything trying to connect

I'm using the iPhone in exactly the same seat in the lounge as the iPad and the signal is excellent.
