web address

why when I copy and paste a web address does it not come up 'live' when I try and post it on here? Have just copied and pasted one and all the writing in the address was black - sn't it usually red?

How you you copy it, rsvp? I couldn't work yours so went to the first part of it then searched for Burgers - did I get the right one?

You then go to the bar showing the web address, highlight it so it blocks (mine goes blue), right click on the blue, choose Copy from the menu - come back on here and Paste.

If you copied the full address and pasted it in it should come up red- but not until you have submitted the post. Why not try again now

It is possible you are copying the text shown rather than the underlying address. They can but need not be the same. Try right clicking and selecting properties. That may show you the actual address.

Also the http:// is useful, but the www. is vital.

Factor 30 - it didn't come up red after I'd posted.
