re Change DOCX to DOC.

When I send Emails with an attachment from Word 2010 they are DOCX documents. My friend tells ,me he cannot open them, is there a way to change DOCX to DOC?

Open the word doc and pick 'Save as'...then select .Doc from the bottom drop down menu.
You'll have 2 versions of the document DOCX and DOC, just e-mail the DOC version.

This is how I get round the problem, anyway. :o)

Or get the person who receives them to install the Office Compatibility Pack which is free and updates old versions of Office to cope with DOCX files.

And if they have not got Office and just the Word Viwer then get them to install the latest version of the Word viewer.
