"Monthly duty cycle"

I am looking at specs for a new Laser Printer and there is a term entitled "Monthly duty cycle"! Can anyone please tell me what this means?

How many copies it's expected to be able to print a month.

It's a pretty useless statistic to be honest but it does give you a rough idea if a printer is designed for light, home use, or heavy duty use.
