yes yes and yes
Stupid as well,Im no Man U fan but to say they lack ambition beggars belief.
it's his contribution to the club's inevitable downfall in the next couple of years
i am totally bemused that alex ferguson has allowed him to stay. one man does not make a team.
In this case he does make the team. That's why Fergie looked so worried this week!
Will Rooney still be at Old Trafford in 2 years time ?
its obvious that he is BIGGER than his club.
very gullible utd
they need him more than he needs them....bad karma with his fans and players
glazers wont be happy
The Glazers ok'd the deal. Who else do you think took that decision?
I think he was badly advised by his agent who is just interested in making money for himself.
Will he be making a statement .His last was good .Who was the ghost writer .
I just cannot believe it - after all he has said about the club, its players, manager, owners etc.....he is staying.
I just cannot see how they can keep him in the side. Will all the other players be demanding a similar rise in wages, or give him a hard time.
Football is a team game and he has ruined the "team" for ever.
btw I am not a Man United fan..nor Man City
Earlier this week I predicted to my kids that he will sign a new contract and leave next Summer. That way both club and player get their wish as he gets to play elsewhere and United will get a much much higher figure for him.

Exactly the same situation happened with Ronaldo. He wanted to leave to join Real and then seemingly from nowhere signed a 4 year deal and then left the following Summer for £80 million.
Like him or loathe him the problem lies with the Club itself for paying Players such ludicrous wages. Some Players have become 'bigger' than the Club and are able to dictate everything. If a Player states that he no longer wants to play for the Club he is Contracted to, send him on his way.......Ferguson has lost his authority.
Yes to all, no footballer is worth that money, wonder how his team mates are taking his pay rise!!!! not good I guess. most united fans have had lots to say, when news broke that he wanted out. Awfull things, even death threats. Now he is staying they are so fickle. comments like city can have the ' s..... b...... ' great fans they have. I'm glad city aint having him, he is just trouble!!! and poor colleen its bad enough neighbours knowing your stuf, let alone the world , poor girl. blue moon rising
I just cannot take in,how this piece of scum, should be given his own way,by a club as big as Man Utd.
I understand,there is a statue outside Old Trafford,of the legends,Best,Charlton and Law.
Rooney is not worthy,to lace their boots.I can remember the "Busby Babes" and players such as Edwards,Taylor and Byrne.Similar applies.
I, for one, hope he continues his "rich" vein of form, (one goal this season so far!) and
MU get egg on their face, for giving in to this avaricious ar**ole.
Everyone is saying all kinds of things about this based only on what the media have said. We don't know anything.

In all occupations, people want to improve their situation. As a United fan, if Rooney had moved on for the money, I wouldn't have a problem with that, even if he'd gone to City. But I never believed he would go. No-one wants to leave United. Ronaldo? Perhaps the only exception I can think of.
well said not so daft grandad agree with every thing you wrote well said
I dont think the interview with SAF,after the first report, was media orientated.
If it was, then the whole thing stinks.
Even as an avid supporter, surely you cannot support this kind of greed,by a player,
who has been "looked after" by his club, despite his many indiscretions.
Daftgrandad, I actually saw those players at OT, when my dad took me. Rooney may be avaricious, but so are most people when it comes to moving employers. He's using the system that created itself with the birth of the Premier League. It's not right to call him an 4rsehole. But it illustrates what I've said for a long time now - that the players couldn't care less for the fans and think of them as a nuisance.
He's not fit to lace George Best's drinks............
