Ok I know a lot of people come on here saying why and how could this happen in a soap and someone always comes on and says it's not real life, well it should be!! I could not believe Eastenders last night when Max lay in his bed and said 'nah nah, Tan wouldn't do that to me, I couldn't have pushed her that far could I' Hello!!!! No course not she only tried burying you alive a while back she's not like that, leave you for dead oh no she couldn't, leav you alive for dead maybe!' and Dev on Corrie when he turned the blender on, who puts there head in the blender like that!!! I would have liked if he'd put it in just that little bit further!! Anyway that's my rant needed to be done. Erm so question is, what storyline or person is just so unbelievable its not real (tee hee)

Didn't see EE last night so can't comment on the Max bit, but yes completely agree about Dev, he actually PUT his face in the blender!
Question Author
he almost got a flanell out to wash his face in it
I had to laugh at Dev last night too!

What makes me laugh in these soaps, if a character is going away, they get a flight just like that and in some cases they don't even bother to go in the end!!!!

No mention of how much the flight cost or how much trouble they had getting the flight they wanted!!!!!
The thing with Dev and the blender was so predictable. As soon as he poured the milk in, I had a vision..........and I was right!
was like something out of Laurel and Hardy.

Daryl (Laurel), I would like a milkshake please Ollie.

Dev (Hardy), ok Stan...........What flavour?

not funny..................but stooooopid!.
Dev hasn't been 'right in the head' for years. Hilariously so, most of the time. The actor really is taking the p1ss I think.
Question Author
I sat there saying 'he's not going to put lid on' obviously the producers couldnt find a powerful enough belnder so he had to put his face in for full effect.
and how many places that sell milkshake have you been into that make a milkshake like that anyway
Am I reading this correctly.....the guy couldn't find / didn't have a lid for the blender so he used his face instead?
Question Author
almost. Dev was asked to make a milkshake and the forgot to put lid on (comedy moment) switched button and basically out his face right in and acted suprised
Did the consumer actually drink it? :o/
No, he got chucked out for laughing!!!
Question Author
No because it was all over devs face
Well at least he didn't drink it, that's just weird and given me a the boak.
I don't watch Eastenders any more as I was fed up of all the characters shouting at each other all the time. I put it on a few weeks back to see if it had changed....no such luck, all the characters were arguing and shouting at each other so I have not watched it since! There was a time some years ago on EE that characters would need to have an argument with somone and would just chuck their apron or cash box at another actor and say 'you look after the cafe/market stall/shop for me I need to see this person' and just leave someone who has never worked in that particular shop in charge!! I am sure that all business owners do this on a regular basis with all their friends, hand over the takings and ask them to run it while they go off and have a row!! Very true to life!
Corrie can be as bad as well, but I much prefer it for the comedy element. Not Dev as the blender moment was pathectic and not funny at all, but other characters such as Blanche, who come out with some real gems.
In Corrie, as well as taking flights or holidays at the drop of a hat, they also sell business without any due dilligence or any legal entity appearing to get involved. It seems that Dev has simply bought the kebab shop business as you would a new kettle (or blender) without needing to worry about any legals at all!
Question Author
yes exactly it would take forever to get things signed by jerry. agree about Blanche I love her she's ace and Becky too
Lol. what a great post. yeah it isnt real life but funny monetheless talking about things that would never happen for REAL in a million years.. I have 1. the woman in Survivors who was in a virus induced coma for 3 days, woke up, went to the kitchen , had a little drink and survived the rest of the episode on just one CRACKER????

I know all she wanted to do was find her son but OH MY GOD, noone is that strong after 3 days in a coma.....surely??
Well my big wish is coming true. Steve and Becky are going to be an item. A comedy match made in heaven - two of Corrie's best actors, both with fantastic timing and wonderful facial expressions.

I must admit that although the Dev thing was totally predictable I just had to laugh. The girl who plays Amber is just great - a real asset to Corrie.
Question Author
lofty that was a spoiler. You should have warned people that dont read all the tv mags like us :-) Yes 1 hr special on Wed that I will miss as in pub quiz down road from you :-( (sad face for missing it not for being close to you)
Whoops! Sorry folk. However, the TV ads have sort of given the game away.

Enjoy the pub quiz 4get.
The one that go me was Max visiting Tanya in the pokey last night when she is supposed to be on remand for attempting to murder him. As if that would ever happen! Ridiculous.
