I'm sat at my pc in very dim light and very late at night. I haven't done this for many months but right now my scalp is really itchy and I'm getting frustrated. The thing here is that when I use to sit here late at night in dim light I would always suffer this same itching. I use to think it was midges on me attracted by the light of the pc monitor. But it really isn't. But that's how it feels. I don't itch like this any other time of the day except when I sit here, and it's only my head.
WHAT CAN IT POSSIBLY BE, can my monitor omit waves, radiation or invisible gremlins that make my head and face itch.

I think a more stupid answer.
If it's very late at night, it may just be your body experiencing fatigue. It's trying to tell you to go to bed and that the pictures of naked ladies will still be there another night.

haha pictures of sexy gorgeous naked ladies??
I would undress and look in the mirror. (added the 2 adjectives as not just a lady) ;)

You may have a point though because I can sit in the same spot throughout the day and have no problems, it's only in the early hours and in low light. I'd have liked a more technical answer like:
In low light the light rays being ommited from a monitor don't get mixed up and scattered about with the light from natural daylight, so the artificial light is much more concentrated into the beam you see protruding from your screen, these microwaves, gamma rays and x rays gigger about (not being able to escape into the atmosphere) around your head (as you are sat in the beam of light) and make your face and head itch.
Best answer yet don't you agree..
I think you are reading too much into this Ms boogiewoogie. You obviously already had a pre-concieved idea of what you think it might be, hence your own 'answer'.
If you think your scalp is itchy it will itch. Without distractions your concentration can play wonders with your brain. We all experience this at some time.
You may have developed a habit without realising it, just as a smoker would crave a cigarette when s/he gets into a car or after dinner.

Now you've started me off !
I am itching my scalp as I type!
Gonna have a shower now...........
