That's on my list for next acquisition. Have had a silver laced and have a gold laced Wyandotte currently.

Trying to find breeders in the area is hard work since the local chap who had umpteen breeds retired.

There is an amazing variety of chickens out there, Ive had quite a few, however, I cant keep chickens where I am, although I live in a fairly remote area, my landlord wont allow chickens :-(

Aww, that's a shame Ratter.
We had one try to defect today! Neighbour turned on doorstep telling me that one of our girls was cosying up to his girls in his garden.

After some effort I shoo'd her back into our garden and apologised.

We've only had pure breeds and choose 'pretty' girls that are all a little different to give contrast.
Oh gosh...what a stunner! Do they give good eggs?

Do eggs vary from breed to breed? ( I never thought of that... )
I fell in love with some Belgium ones all fluffy feet and little tails - hubby says not until we retire and move to Islay!!
I can identify all the eggs from my girls Pasta, blue, pink, spotty, matt, silk. It's quite fun handing over a box of eggs to friends and being able to tell them who laid the egg!
