Could someone please tell me the significance of the numbers (normally 3 figures and always unique) that appear under the Three Lion crest on England Cricketer's shirts ? andgri (Thu 22:24 15/Aug/02)

rja211077		(Fri 11:53 16/Aug/02) yes indeed andgri. if a player wears xxx then he was the xxx'th person to be capped for England. i think they have separate numbers for Tests and One Day Internationals (actually I'm not sure they have the numbers at all for ODIs). Michael Vaughan, for example, is number 600. Steve Harmison and Robert Key just got the latest two numbers but I can't remember what they are off the top of my head.
