Just watching the Liverpool game now. Why are the fans leaving?
It is a protest about ticket prices for next season.
The Liverpool fans left at 77 minutes in protest to club making most expensive tickets £77 next season.

Certain tickets going up to £77, so they staged a protest by walking out in the 77th min.
To think I used to get in for a shilling at the Boys' Entrance at Villa Park
Daisy you're going back a bit!!!
Thanks. Shearer and Linnekar were just discussing it and saying that tickets should be £10 and £20. Well! Of course they should. Football is SUPPOSED to be the sport of the people, not just rich ones. How on earth do people afford to go to matches?
How much was a programme, Daisy ?.

Not sure horseshoes but I think you will find it more at Chelsea/Arsenal
Exorbitant players wages and exorbitant ticket prices. The fans have the answer to this situation, instead of leaving at 77 minutes, just don't go because you are paying the wages. A boycott would soon turn the tables.
Oops my team Arsenal. I'm quite ashamed to admit that although I've supported them since I was about 12 or 13 (50 years ago), I've never been to see than play at home. Costs about £90 to get to London before forking out for a ticket!
Davemano, you have a point there.
Big match next Sunday, horseshoes. Arsenal v Leicester. I think if Leicester can get anything out of Arsenal they will most likely end up as league champs.
£77? Ruddy lucky northerners!

In London they could already be paying £81 (Spurs), £87 (Chelsea), £95 (West Ham) or £97 (Arsenal)!

Horseshoes I went to the 1979 Cup final Arsenal v Man United my ticket was £5 and £10 return on the train.
London weighting, Chris !
Tony, my husband was having physio in a fire service place some months ago, and there was a chap there with him from near Leicester whose mate had rung him up from the bookies and said Leicester are 1000/1. Shall we bung a tenner each on? So they did. If they'd been quicker they'd have got 5000/1.

I hope we see the BRILLIANT Arsenal next week rather than the "ordinary" Arsenal.
Happy days Magicmick.
A very good bet there, horseshoes, it has the makings of a great match. But has you say depends on if an ordinary or a great Arsenal turn up !.
Oops sorry Tony. I meant they got 1000/1 for Leicester to win the league.
