Where would you like it to go ?

It must be popular in order to have the skill level the women's world cup has shown. I think it unlikely to reach the commercial interest level that the men's game (all comers' game ?) attracts.

mens soccer has a lot further to go. They got 3rd in the WC, the men have not managed that since 1966.

Why not just accept - and enjoy - it foor what it is and stop the comparison. I have watched most of the live matches - not just England's games - and have enjoyed them all. Not once have i thought to compare them with their male counterparts.

I wouldn't cross the road to watch women play football. Doesn't mean to say that some people wouldn't find it entertaining.

Women's football has only quite recently turned professional and, imho, the standards are beginning to rise. With more funding - and more young girls taking the sport up as a direct result of the Lionesses' achievements - they can only rise higher.
