So,the Commonwealth Games are here but which World Record do you think will not be broken for a very long time.

I think the mens javellin will survive for years to come (Jan Zelezny 97m+)

Hi Bienchico lol - that is true but the IAAF reverted back to the 1991 mark as javelins with serrated tails were outlawed.The current official record has stood since 1996. :-)
Jonathan Edwards and Mike Powell seem safe for a good while yet, IMO.

Good answers Jeffa,Id have them in my top five....
The discus and hammer records have stood since 1986.
If you look at how Uwe Hohn's throw compared to Olympic Gold Medal performances around that time, it was still one hell of a throw!

Buenchico,you're right Hohn's throw was quite something! I dont see anything spectacular this week...
