(Sun 15:58 12/Jun/05)After a brief intermezzo with English Premier League club Leeds United, Yeboah returned to Germany, the place he said he had adopted as his second home, and played for Hamburg between 1997 and 2001, the year of his official retirement from European professional football. After difficulties with the German tax authorities, Yeboah left Germany to celebrate his semi-retirement in the Middle East, where he ensured his Qatar-based team Al-Etihad won the league title and the King's Cup. He played in the finals of the Prince's Cup and was voted the best player in the league. In all, he played 21 games and scored 17 great goals.
At the moment, Yeboah lives in Accra, Ghana, with his wife Tasha and their four children. He has become a successful businessman, investing in the hospitality industry and putting up a hotel in Accra, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2003.
