Unless there has been some serious coastal erosion very recently, not that I know of.

The nearest decent sandy beaches that I know of are at Littlehampton and Clacton -on- Sea. The problem with these is the tide comes in quite regularly and the stands can only be built on 3 out of 4 sides.

Jaywick beach would be perfect, apart from the fact it's attached to jaywick!

Caught a bit of it on TV yesterday, accidentally of course, maybe there are some Olympic sports that I'm interested in afterall!

There is something very watchable about some of the beach vollyball.... Can't quite put my finger on what it is though.

If you tried to put your finger on it, I believe security might wrestle you to the ground immediately.
