Anyone ever been to the Faroes?

Would dearly love to go and see Linfield play Torshaven in the Faroe Islands and would appreciate any help/advice as to the cheapest/quickest/easiest way to get there from Scotland?

Thanks.

quickest and best would be to fly. Not cheapest though.

Cheers Mark - I really am looking to make it as short a stay as possible, much to my disappointment because I would love to explore what looks like a fascinating country, but work demands that I turn up every now and then.

Howard - I have that age old problem of quickest and cheapest being diametrically opposed.

Flights available from London for only £1,468.83.

Looks like the home leg only and fingers/legs/everything crossed for the next round in Cyprus.

Mind you, if I go Monday to Monday it would only cost £349.45.
Are Linfield not doing a club trip? If so I would imagine the price would be competitive.
ha! for some reason i thought faroe islands WERE a part of scotland!
Just try and make sure you are not there when this occurs:

Some islanders can be quite suspicious of outsiders (due to eco warrior attention) at the time of the grind.

Linfield may well do, but I usually prefer to go on my own.

All will depend on how long work can allow me to take off. The ferry option is out as it takes 29 hours on the way over and 20 on the way back, and I still have to get home from Denmark afterwards.
