Any carp fishermen out there?

Mr BD retires next month and want to get him a present. He wants three bite alarms with a remote receiver. Can anyone reccommend a set to me? Have looked on his usual fishing sites but too many to choose from. Need someone with "hands on" knowledge to advise me. Thanks in advance.
