Does anyone else think that Willie Thorne is possibly the worst commentator on Snooker bar none he is themost annoying person in the whole world!

Loosehead		(Tue 11:37 26/Apr/05) I think Willie is excellent, he is so knowledgeable about the shots and for a regular player like me that's most helpful. He has apparently done the most maximums of any player so his break building knowledge is vast. Any number of times he has amazed me with his accuracy in predicting the outcome of a shot or even explaining why a player seems to be taking a lot of time over a shot when to the uninitiated the shot seems obvious. What does he do that annoys you so much?
QmunkE		(Tue 12:24 26/Apr/05) I don't think he has made the most maximums - where did you hear this Loosehead? In professional tournaments, Stephen Hendry leads with 8 and I think Ronnie O'Sullivan comes next. I think that Neal Foulds is more annoying.
greenday		(Tue 12:38 26/Apr/05) I'm with Andy and Loosehead on this. He explains things very well that aren't apparently obvious to the untrained eye, which I guess is most people watching. QmunkE, Willie has reputedly done the most maximums in practice, not in actual competition.

jenstar		(Wed 10:24 27/Apr/05) John Virgo is the worst, but one thing that irritates me about Willie Thorne is that he's always going on about "frame ball". He's applying the tennis concept of "game point", etc to snooker and it doesn't work because of snooker's system of scoring for penalties. There is no such thing as "frame ball".

He does nothing but speculate wildly, predict 147s after one red and one black and above all repeat everything that the other pundits say. You're not telling me that all the other guys dont rip the **** out of him, Taylor certainly does and to his face. All hail Dennis Taylor
