spot on DT..
Whats the largest cricket pitch a Yorkshire team have played on as a home game...and a clue, strangely it lies outside the County.
DT I`ll go for OT (Old Trafford)
Thats bloody Lancashire lad and the real enemy - you have to really go back into the depths of Yorkshire history
no need to google Janz. Its one of my own pub quiz questions. Which current football league ground has staged an fa cup semi final an fa cup final & an ashes match

sorry steve should have known better..:-)
someone playing there could be registered for Yorkshire, Lancashire or Cumbria as the ground risks being a base for all three- it pisses Tykes off as they see it as their own but no longer is.

The ground is now one of the homes of another county team - they only played one 1st class match there but plenty of 2nd XI games.....home to a number of famous rugby players too.
that sounds like the Oval, steve, at first guess.....and along the same lines of my question.
OK which County ground has a tree growing on the pitch?
Did have I believe.....didnt lightening take it out....
ooh didn't know that - it's still showing in photos on their website..

they may have replanted it.

There is a second though but in S-Africa - Pietermaritzburg Oval
Acklam Park, Middlesbrough
Well I didn't know that, still it's 20 years since I lived there (Kent that is)
Sedbergh Cumbria - used to be part of West Yorkshire
