Golf weekend recommendations.

I'm looking to send my boyfriend on a golf weekend for his birthday with his mate. Ideally I'd like it to be abroad, but it can really only be from a Friday eve to a Sunday eve, therefore I'm thinking Spain or Portugal. But thats as far as my knowledge goes. They are both still learning at golf but are doing ok. And ideally it needs to be somewhere where they can have a few beers of an evening too. Has anyone got any recommendations? I'll post this under sport and travel. Thanks.

Wish I could be of help Pottyone but I'm not a Golfer.
Find a Resort in Spain or Portugal with a Golf Course nearby by Googling.
These guys are pretty good. I use them for trips in England and Wales but their prices for abroad are pretty reasonable too/

Spain and Portugal are he most expensive for golf. Lots of courses will ask for handicap certificates for proof of membership of a recognized golf club.

Lots of Marriott and DeVere hotels offer golfing deals but they can be expensive too unless you're booking a group of players.

Try Woburn Abbey and Hawkstone Park. These are fairly central in England and are great courses and hotels.
There are several hotels in Vilamoura, Algarve, either with their own golf course or affiliated access to one nearby. There is a lot of nightlife in the Marina area too. Closer to home, I can highly recommend Celtic Manor in Wales.
