/// Double New Zealand , but less than London ///

And how many of London's 8.6 millon were born in the UK?
Give in, how many
Why New Zealand ? it's got far less of a population than even Scotland
Maybe if we start chanting the Haka at our border it may scare 'em away?
Problem solved ^ now that was easy
Appropriating non-indigenous chants as a weapon could result in charges being laid under the Misuse of Pretendy Scary Stuff Done By Grown Men Act 1972.
Lenny Henry does, however, support the adoption of the name All Blacks.
I've always thought that, when playing the All Blacks and after the Haka has been performed, the English team should appear with fluttery hankies and tinkly bells and do a Morris dance in response!
Come on people there must be hundreds of acres in the UK where there is plenty of room, think of the highlands of Scotland for instance where you can go for miles without ever seeing a house & plenty of half empty islands around the coastlines. Butlins & other holiday sites could be commandeered to accommodate thousands of immigrants, what has happened to that British spirit of come one, come all ?

And you of course are willing to pay for this!

Don't know of any empty Butlin sites in Scotland or it's Islands Ron, and what about schools and health centres etc?
Baldric have you not heard of the phrase '' Tongue In Cheek''?

Indeed I have, have you?
//Come on people there must be hundreds of acres in the UK where there is plenty of room,//

so in the future, we'll have tourists drawn to the Jeremy Corbyn Affordable Housing complex at Ullswater, which long ago replaced Wordsworth's daffodils?
AOG, new towns would have to be built which would of course have all facilities you mention. There would be jobs found for all & those who would not wish to work would have immediate access to cash aid.
mushroom25, who wants daffodils ?

The problem is that land is mostly "owned" by a few very rich people that don't want any one else on it
Enough of this silliness, of course we are bloody full up how many more before this island sinks to be lost forever like Atlantis ?

Sadly we are no longer an Island, not with a Land-link to France!
In the list of most densely populated countries and territories, Britain comes 51st most densely populated, so I think it still has a bit to go

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_and_dependent_territories_by_population_density
I honestly believe we are going to have to radically change our way of lives. That will include allowing more migrants in and building on land that would not have been consider before
What I would add that whilst I might reluctantly have to accept that I still want to know how many non EU countries are prepared to accept - I include the Arab states too - lets face it - they have both the money and the land space to take many.
