I see from reports from the USA the dentist who killed Cecil The Lion has gone into hiding due to the huge amounts of hate mail .
Have the Border Agency managed to intercept the head that was supposedly being sent to his home as a Trophy

What is it about some Americans and guns ? They never seem very happy unless they are killing things. Still, I suppose its better than killing innocent school children.

I abhor the hunting and killing of animals (although i am a meat eater) but this frenzy of hate for the Dentist really is now getting a bit OTT.
Everyone has said what they think, now why not let it rest.
He, the dentist, knows the score and clearly he will pay dearly for this, so why not now let it rest?

Ummm...yes I forgot that. But they seem to enjoy killing.

I note that the lion managed to live for over 40 hours, in horrible pain, and then the brave Dentist came and eventually finished it off with a gun. Who knows how many other animals that this cack-handed hunter failed to kill cleanly ?


Many years ago, I was witness to a Moose hunt, in New Hampshire. Killing a Moose is akin to standing in a field and shooting a cow. But at least Moose are edible, unlike lions.

Ummmm - I was corrected on here when I mentioned a crossbow - told it was a bow and arrow. Don't know how these things work but I wonder if that made any difference at all to the shot that wounded Cecil.

I really dont get why anyone would want an animal head as a trophy on their wall let alone killing the poor creature. Sick in the head comes to mind.
