i don't understand how an athlete who has one discilpine to master...
...can get it so wrong.Long jump and triple jump,the take off board doesn't move ,the athlete chooses their own run up technique and then practises for months on end, hours and hours...why then do they score so many foul jumps.Please don't suggest pressure as an excuse as Jessie Ennis had to complete seven disciplines and mastered them all.
I agree........another example is how they have four years to practise passing that retched batton in the relay races but can they do it on the day? No, they fumbled and stumbled and screw it up like beginners.
Simple, that's sport. Just like fluffing one's lines on stage, screech a note or three, let the ink drawing pen get it seriously wrong (I well know that one).
