Most entertaining match I've seen in years - thanks to our great players... and Chelsea for giving us a really good run for our money. Anyone who saw the match and claims United don't deserve their success is simply bitter - or an ABU (Anyone But United). For those claiming they switched off an hour into the match - do you really have any idea about football? Are you really a football fan, as opposed to just being a fan of a particular team because it's 'cool' or your mates support them? I'm a red through and through (a season ticket holder since I was six, and, yes, born and bred in Manchester - and a woman!) and love watching any decent game, irrespective of who's playing. Great football is great football, irrespective of who's playing. I also often go to see Rochdale and FC United play - not the same level of entertainment, admittedly, but still a great afternoon out.

Disappointed to lose, but life goes on. Well done, Man U. I suppose it just wasn't to be for my lads.

But,hey, we reached the final of the biggest tournament in Europe and came within the width of a post of winning. All this with a manager who clearly lacks the quality to be top class. Thanks, Mr Grant, you did your best, now please go.

I'm Man U as well, but I've hardly ever seen a more even match, so don't necessarily agree the best team won. It's a shame that everybody is focusing on Terry's miss and ignoring that sulky little *** Anelka's pathetic attempt that actually lost it.
He is the essence of everything that is wrong with the worst of modern day footballers.

I don't know about paying refs, but I can't resist copying this ! Did anyone notice on Tuesday, in his last press conference before the Moscow kick-off, Fergie mentioned how the competition "elevates players, clubs and managers." he also said - "You think of great managers like Ottmar Hitzfeld who has won it twice with different clubs, Carlo Ancelotti who has won it twice, Marcello Lippi...." What a surprise. this sad little man couldn't bring himself to utter the name of the greatest of them all - Bob Paisley - who won it 3 times !!!!!

oh dear, another bitter kopite.
Paisley indeed was a great manager but he inherited a great set up, Fergie inherited a bag of sh**e.
it is well documented that Fergie dislikes Liverpool, it is what has driven him in this country.
Liverpool now needs something similar, get over it - it is only a game
