Hi all - the International break's over so the Premier League & our thread can restart - we were here -

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Sport/Football/Question1539817.html

The Merseyside derby kicks off tomorrow at 12:30, with the rest of the games scheduled for 15:00 & S'ton v B'mouth at 17:30. Sunday sees 2 matches, at 13:30 & 16:00.

After that, another full 10 matches are scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday so don't forget to keep on top of any changes that you want or need to make after the weekend.

"Against the run of play", I need a flood of points now to see me with at least a top 10 finish, so fingers crossed...

Keep having fun!

I'm officially doomed now!
The last 2 matchday weekends have seen me hit hard by injuries and suspensions and with no transfers left since February one of my teams currently has 5 players and the other 6!
Going down going down going down!
You will bounce back. Boing Boing. :))
I all I have a couple of transfers left for both teams but not willing to use them unless its a season ending injuer... but Hazard Ali and now the Lhama are winding me up, almost tempted to swap Zlatan but I'd have bring him back in.

I'm going to make a prediction - it could go either way
Big Ron.
* yep I have an hangover re-reading that confirms it. ;-)
Well I have done what I can with very limited resources. Capitos changed and sweating on injury warnings. Will check on the early game to make sure I have missed nothing when the teams are announced on Sky. Hope you are all good and glad, as I am, to see our lovely football back.

“That’s great, tell him he’s Pele and get him back on.” – John Lambie, Patrick Thistle manager, when told that his striker did not know who he was after suffering a concussion.
Togo, seems like a lifetime ago doesn't it. We're (United) up against some friends of AB this afternoon Hopkirk, Mighty, Piggynose to name a few the 6-6 draw in SAF's last game was one of my favourites. We have to topple them today... fourth spot is at minimum a wanting prospect.
Yep and you know that any side managed by Pullis is gonna be as tight as a ducks arris, and that's water tight.
Not one to be sent to the bar... indeed. ;-) Hopefully Jose won't park the bus today.

Captains changed & I too am holding back on transfers & hoping for favourable pre-match reports on fitness. Poor lambs.

Well Clive, it's all about the two Ms - Movement and Positioning
Ron Atkinson - fave of the day it seems :-)

If anyone's looking in, a reminder that you've about 1 hr 20 mins from this post to make any changes before tonight's 4 matches - there are 6 more tomorrow as well...

It wasn't going to be our day on the night

Already logged on and just waiting for team news from Sky LiK. Capito juggling all weekend and more to do now.

"The referee is wearing the same yellow coloured top as the Slovakian goalkeeper. I'd have thought that the UEFA officials would have spotted that..........but perhaps he's been deafened by the noise of the crowd".
Jon Motson.
Well despite having no room to manoeuvre and a zero transfer kitty, I managed to glean a few points tonight. I thought I was doing well and then Totting Ham made a Lazarus like recovery. I am sure that LiK is a closet fan of the Lilly Whites so he will be glowing. Doh.
" Don't just do something.......sit there"!
Winston Churchill. :))
Yes a few desperately needed points were acquired with Ibrahimovic's late penalty on Tuesday. On Wednesday I was so tempted to make Hazard Captain but in a doh moment opted for Sánchez. At least I'm not alone stumbling down the league, a couple of AB friends instantly spring to mind ;-)

As a reminder early KO tomorrow Tottenham Hotspur v Watford is at 12:30.

My greatest challenge is not what's happening at the moment, my greatest challenge was knocking Liverpool right off their f------g perch. And you can print that
Sir Alex Ferguson.

Morning all - just under 1 hour left to make today's changes - I've made a couple of switches, hoping to stop the dramatic plunge down the table!

Togo - I prefer the Lilywhites to certain other colours but am really a Blues man :-)

He's caused the Chelsea defence no amount of problems
Jimmy Armfield
I cut it a bit fine today thinking I'd done all I can yesterday... but Jeff Stelling let me know after I'd finished I had 2mins 34 secs remaining

Again done what I can, capitos were changed but hasn't worked well this week. Last week I was able to switch them around all weekend and midweek because of how the fixtures fell. This week I am a bit restricted. Sorry for the "slur" Lik, I thought you were a Totting Ham follower. I must have misunderstood a previous reference. Still I Flushed the truth out. :))

Well options are a bit thin on the ground this weekend what with the FA Cup semis and injuries. I only have 4 players involved so points are not going to be flooding in, I could even register a minus. :((
