England V San Marino

The last time these two teams met in a world cup qualifier England failed to get the Seven goals required to go to USA94... if memory serve correct.

San Marino have been dubbed as one of the worst teams in the world (no disrespect from me) do you think England might sneak a 1-0 victory?

England did get 7 goals against San Marino (after going 0-1 down after 8 seconds) and won 7-1.

But we also needed Poland to beat Holland but they lost 1-3.
Yes England recovered from Mr Galtieri's 8th second strike (after a comical backpass by an England defender) to win 7-1.
As was pointed out in the paper yesterday, the population of San Marino would fit 3 times over into Wembley Stadium.
Anything less than a 5-0 victory for England will probably have the tabloid press in full cry.
One thing that does occur to me: there'll be 90,000 people at this game. I doubt any other country in Europe would attract that attendance for such a game.
I wonder if that goal was an early example of "spot fixing"?
I'm going for an ambitious England 6-0 San Marino.
