Love him or loathe him, you can't deny his medal tally is impressive.
Didn't realise he'd been at Chelski for 8 years, he'll certainly take some replacing.

He wiil. He often played as though he'd rather be doing something else, and could only pass the time by falling over theatrically, but give him a big game and he was one of the very best.

Well timed, going out on a high. Lukaku, signed by AVB, has just been complaining that he's never got games, and when he did get some , it was on the wing. He's a Drogba type, big pushy centre forward, so he may get some games now, but the chances are another, and established, star striker will be bought..
Chelsea will miss him but they can keep their hands off van persie!
who ever we find is unlikely to be as good in defence... he will leave a big hole to fill hopefully lukaku will deliver... and if Torres gets fully on form... but we still need another big powerful striker...

Apparently, in honour of Drogba it has been decided by the Chelsea hierarchy that they will retire their strecther.
