Good though that is, it's left a stain on LFC, or more specifically on Suarez. It's patently obvious that the club have had to intervene and get a grip of their loose cannon. His days at Liverpool are numbered IMHO and with the increased scrutiny he will now find himself under I doubt it'll be long before he transgresses.

Here he is biting a players ear.
Not sure how many countries he has left who will have him back ! |
Big deal. The words door, shut, horse, bolted come to mind.
IMO there is no way he can be excused for the disgraceful gesture of refusing to shake the hand of Evra. This is compounded by the fact, that he had told his club,in the morning, that he would shake his hand. |

In the spirit of reconciliation I have not mentioned the apology seems to be aimed at LFC and not Patrice Evra
Luis Suarez you know what you are |

I am certain the American owners are behind this statement. Liverpool FC is a valuable asset and its brand is being trashed by one player and a loyal but misguided manager.
// "I have spoken with the manager [Kenny Dalglish] since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong. "I have not only let him down but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. "I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions. "I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football." // I think the owners will have also told Kenny to get a grip or he is out. |
DG if you watch the footage a wee bit closer you will see who refuses to shake with who, never mind what the idiots from the media trying to tell us what they want us to see.
However, the media have found a link with the brainwashed & will no doubt keep this childish issue going with plenty of gusto, over speculation with lashings of moral fibre & advice for LFC |
ps Aided & abetted by SAF the epitemy of values, morals & the true dignity of sportsmanshipat the highest level.
"dont quote me on that though" |
Steve - I have watched the video of yesterday's handshakes several times.
Perhaps you'd care to confirm quite what it is that you think you see? |
i couldn't if i wanted to as i have no ideas what it means!
To be fair, SAF was the epitome of the professional manager yesterday, criticised his own player (Evra) for his end of match celebration. Shame KK couldn't bring himself to do the same in relation to Suarez who has made him and the club look like mugs for agreeing to but subsequently refusing the handshake.
Damage already done, 'apology' too late. |
Sorry Steve,totally disagree.
I have watched numerous replays of this incident.Having seen it all on both Sky and BBC many times now,it is completely beyond me,how you can say, that Evra was the perpetrator,in this whole affair. |
I bet there was some arm twisting by KD to get Suarez to apolagise.
Dg no need to apologise mate we all have our own opinions.
JTH I watched it once, that was enough for me, evra has a very good trigger finger action |
What does that mean?
Suarez passes over Evra's hand and Evra then grabbed at his arm. Anything that happens after that is precipitated by Suarez's petulant actions. If you really want to argue the toss and claim to have 'an opinion' you really ought to watch it, again. |

Now then young lady dont get carried away with your attempted self opinionated degrading of others. It would appear you have some sort of blinkered view, is it the player you are calling or, the shirt he is wearing ? I do apologise for not sharing your view about this trivial incident. But obviously having to watch it over & over again suggests that you were not to sure of what you were watching or, looking to find. |
Steve, I see you're wearing your LFC blinkers today
Eh?
Have you had an extra large helping of Sherry trifle? Watch the clip again and see if you can spot the part where Suarez shakes Evra's proffered hand.......as he had agreed to do last Sunday. Suarez has made a monkey out of KD (a man I hold in high esteem) and out of LFC (not *my* club, but a club that deserves more respect than it is currently receiving from its' own player). |

Don't be a twit. Suarez has admitted to it by apolgising. He says // I should have shook Evras hand and that was a mistake // Don't you believe your own player? |
Where do you think the Facebook link takes you to?

Don't you believe your own player I dont believe that they are his true sentiments anybody who calls someone a liar & rascist is not worthy of a handshake. It was ploy by United to unsettle the Liverpool team as you can tell by the reaction of the Utd players in the line up, in the tunnel & after the game. As For KD supporting his player remember this ? http://www.independen...hmeichel-1280049.html |
