Hi guys, some of you will know im a hedge witch, on the 8 festivals of the year i tend to fast all day between breakfast and only break my fast at night after i have finished a ceremony to celebrate the day.
Do any of you guys fast on these days?? Someone i spoke to said they found it odd (they follow a similar path) that I fasted this way.
Does any one else do this??

Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, some Chrstians, Muslims all have fasting days.
Followers of Rael fast totally for 24 hours each week.
Fasting between breakfast and sunset is little different to fasting between supper and breakfast, really.

as someone who celebrates the wheel of the year, and in particular the 8 festivals, I'm afraid I do about the opposite! It's certainly eat drink and be merry here...
That said, if it helps you focus your mind and spirit, you should continue, and never mind what I or your friend does.

I'm a Kaos magician and follower of alternative beliefs and as whickerman said I feast rather than fast, but nothing should be considered odd, just follow your own path as you see fit, it is your path after all not ours:)

Hedgewitchery is generally a solitary craft isn’t it? So I would agree that whatever floats your boat etc.
I am intrigued though as to what lead you to choose this fasting regime/ritual, if it is generally at odds with the ‘norm’?

im normaly a true food lover, eat drink b merry i say, but over the years in the week leading to a festival i find my appetite really waning, and drawing in on myself (makes me fun to be around).
i have no idea why it happened it just has.

I have nearly all ways lived on the edge of town, and my current home is ideal, to the back and side is civilisation (if you can call it that) and to the front is nothing but nature in her majesty although tamed in the form of farmland.
I can find many of my simples needed for spells and remedies in the hedgerow along the lane and what i cant find there i can often find nearby.

I think it's up to you whether you fast or not before a celebration, firewatch.
We had a fantastic party on Halloween though, with lots of fruit and home-made bread, to celebrate the harvest and more.

We had about 60 children coming to the gate on our drive asking for treats (not a trick among them – lacks such imagination). So we donned our crucifixes and dowsed them with holy water. I should think they won’t do that again.

Muslims fast but it is only compulsory during the month of Ramazan. There are few other days where if you fast then it is preferred but not compulsory and there are few days in Islamic calendar when fasting is even forbidden. Nothing like the way you are saying about 7 days or 8 festivals.
Although bit different but fasting is almost in all the religions and beliefs of the world apart from atheism as for them it is more known as dieting.
