Waldo need your help on something....(and anyone else who wants a guess)

As probably the most learned on here i was doing some thinking......
I know you have read the bible and quran alot more than me and I was wondering... Could you theorise how many people god(of the bible) has killed? -I dont mean you know given cancer or anything I mean like when he directly gave people plagues or struck them down and the like?
obviously its going to be a very rough guess and i will accept that but could you give it a shot?

Nope. Don't need to - I know where there's someone who's already done it.

Cheers again Waldo
i was just thinking the other day, I hate murderers i do!
i would hate to have to go to prison(obv i was wrongly accused!) and live with a murderer.

then i started thinking about all the murderers and how i wouldn't want to be near any of them and i especially wouldn't want to be friends with them.

So if I get the chance to go to heaven will have to say nope no thanks dont like being friends with murderers!

if people on earth worship god and he is a muderer.. does that mean they also worship people like hitler, saddam and the like because they etnically cleansed on behalf of god? does that make it ok?

im so confused!! i need some sort of moral compass!!!!!

Saddam did'nt kill anyone in God's name (for all his sins his government was'nt Islamic), Hitler did'nt kill for God either nor for that matter did Mao, Stalin, Lenin or Pol Pot.
In the last 200 (more?) years I struggle to think of any religious wars.
That should liven the thread a little.

Theland, you're dodging the issue - and as usual, it's blinkers on!

But just out of interest, Sherman, and to liven the thread a little more, perhaps, what if the murderers you shared a cell with, murdered people you may be happy to see dead? People who bash old ladies over the head to pinch their pensions, or paedophiles who kill innocent children? Would you object so much to knowing them then?

Oh Naomi very good point!

Well I'm afraid i've still not decided on that yet! and at 26 i really need to get a move on and form an opinion!

My view is that this one and ONLY life is them single most important thing ever and to take that away from someone is the most horrific thing you can do!

so then do i think that if you take the ultimate you must pay the ultimate? or do i think that if you take the ultimate by killing someone for a crime that you are just as bad?

i honestly haven't made my mind up yet!

Regardless of who they murdered, they are still a murderer. Why should we treat them any differently?
