Intelligent people 'less likely to believe in God'

People with higher IQs are less likely to believe in God, according to a new study.

A decline in religious observance over the last century was directly linked to a rise in average intelligence, he claimed.

Waldo - I'll try that in a minute.

Honestly, I am not rooting for one side or the other. I think it is daft if religionists hold a view and then hope there is no evidence to undermine the view, as in the case of abiogenesis as you suggest.
I'm simply observing that it hasn't been done ... yet.
If and when it is done, I shall be the first to congratulate them, and come on here to ask where do we go from here?
I really am not dogmatic.
Now to the link ....

the link is indeed impressive, and is an astonishing achievement. It's even written in a way that unscientific little old me could follow, (ish), but although the scientists are coming along in leaps and bounds, they have still not made the big leap from inorganic to organic, unless I'm missing something, that is entirely possible of course.
But as ever Waldo, thank you for keeping me on my toes.

I know some people who believe in God and are intelligent, I also know some people who are non-believers and are intelligent.

I know some people who believe in God and are thick, I also know some people who are non-believers and are thick.

This leads me to conclusion which is as conclusive as the extensive conclusion that this professor has come up with.
