sikh symbol

why is the symbol on the iranian flag similar to that of the sikh 'khanda'?

Iranian flag has word Allah written in Arabic. Sikh sign is in fact two bedny swords. Yes it does look some what similar. To be honest I can not think of a reason apart from being just a co-incident. May be someone else will give more information. Lets see.
