Some Questions About Contraception...
As an atheist, I have absolutly no qualms about using contraception as I believe that a child has the right to be wanted and not just a result of mummy and daddy having a drunken fumble. However, I am genuinely intrigued by the religious attitudes towards it. Why is the catholic church so opposed to it? What is the muslim teaching about it? There is no mention in the bible of contraception, (and they all had large families) so how do protestants account for it? What about families that CAN'T have children? Are they justified in having fertility treatment? What about abortion? Is it acceptable in certain cases (rape, incest)? Not looking to debate anyone here, just very curious as to a very debatable subject and interested in different viewpoints.

You think people in Iraq and Afghanistan as well paid for the weapons they have. They were all given free weapons because that served the purpose for few countries. Now few countries are trying and have given to few people in Sudan as well. Because they do not like the governments there. The only country so far they are unable to find people who are willing to accept weapons are Iran & north Korea. But anyway we are getting away from the topic.
Naomi - If you think it is nonsense then I am not asking you to have more children. As I said on the other thread, In few countries people are eating so much that they are facing obesity, and few are dieing due to hunger in other countries. So shall we say if they had more children they would not be obese. I believe only if people share, there is enough food, petrol, water, air, land, medicine and so on in this world that no one would be without. I would say again, people with bigger families do not die un-known. Your views are otherwise and that is your opinion.

Thank you Theland. Very kind, I'm sure - you old rogue. I can practically hear you chuckling!
Keyplus, Perhaps if their parents had more kids then they would have spent money on food and would not have any left for this all.
Thank you - I have my answer.
