(18:46 on Thu 28/Feb/08) I think it means not from the books of matthew, mark, luke or john. I remember from sunday school, these 4 books were known as the gospels. that was many years ago though!!!!

(23:22 on Thu 28/Feb/08) 1 Corinthians 13 - Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.......So faith, hope love abide......but the greatest of these is love.

I dunno jake, whats wrong with telling your betrothed that their temples are like pomegranates within their hair, and they have teeth like a flock of sheep? I found the whole My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him quite romantic! Honestly, youth of today! |

I love that one too catron, I actually had that at my wedding last year. Does that fit into the 'non-gospel new testament' criteria though??

(11:54 on Sat 01/Mar/08) Hi lollyone - I am not a catholic so I am afraid I cannot be sure what they mean about 'non-gospel' New Testament - but I agree with poohshunny in that I think to most Christians the gospels are simply the first four books of the New Testament - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This would leave open to you for your reading most of the passages you find romantic, I would say. |
