Posting this folks as had problem with my pals.

First you connect stick in HMTL and USB Ports on TV. Put in battery's and connect control to TV by press reset button for 3 seconds just below battery's.

Follow Roku on screen instructions until it explains the 3 procedures it is about to do next.

Now press control like this Home X 5 times Forward X 3 and Rewind 2. A new ghost screen will open up and install software update. You will now be able to connect to VM Router. Follow instructions to complete. Don't contact Roku themselves a waste of time 0/10 for customer services. :- (
