I’ve just received a 2013 Memorial Invitation from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I will have to decline their invitation, but have a look at it here – third item top line – and do check out the reverse side of the leaflet.

Jesus, despite having been born in the Middle East of Jewish parents, appears to have been a very handsome white man - and no stranger to a designer hairstylist - or the gym. What a hunk! How on earth can anyone take this gumpf seriously?

I got the same leaflet naomi and thought he looked very ' North European' as well. Definitely a bit of artistic licence.
It must have been quite a shock for Joseph when Mary presented him with a blue eyed, blonde child.
Many years ago I dreamt Jesus. I forgot what he looked like but I remember he told me to read particular psalms from the holy Bible.
As Jesus was 'The Son of God' does this mean God is an Englishman ?
He's even hunkier here naomi!

Taken from a new US TV Series, The Bible.
Jesus looked like Robert Powell.
On my toast this morning his face looked a bit like George Clooney with long hair
My nephews grandmother is Maltese and he looks more Middle Eastern than Jesus.

Okay, B00. You got me. Where do I sign? Err .... although .... Mrs O's George Clooney .... mmmm .... yes, I think he has the edge, ;o)
There is zero contemporary evidence that Jesus was anything more than a fictional character in a ridiculous made up story. Consequently He can look like anything you care to decide.
Sorry Naomi - I ate the toast
He looked like Mr Bean.
Oh no!! It was last night, wasn't it. Sugar. I was supposed to be there! :-/

I had a couple of JW's turn up a week or so ago. I wasn't very well and asked them to come back, so they left me with some leaflets and a copy of the watchtower and said they'd come back another time.
Anyway, they came back on Friday. Stupidly, I answered the door and (again) engaged in conversation with them. They were two lovely little old ladies and I just didn't have the heart to tell them I wasn't interested... again.
So, she said "you are coming on Tuesday aren't you *name*"? Me: "Er... yes, I think so. Er... maybe. It should be fine".
Little old lady: "oh that's wonderful. Well as you know, I'm Judy and this is Angela, and we will keep a look out for you. It starts at 7, but please do try and get there as early as you can and we can introduce you".
Not sure what I was thinking at this point but I smiled and replied "ok. Lovely. See you then"...?!?!?!

Oh god. What have I done. They'll be back today, for sure.
Madmen ring Pickfords ...now !!
The Watch Tower mag always reminds me of pubs! Im sure that's not the image they want to convey either.

When I was little, my mum, if she went on a night out, used to bring me back home, some plastic cocktail swords (!!) and a copy of the WT.
Boo - snap (almost).
I used to get the plastic swords and a copy of the Citadel (sally army mag)
Lol Flump :)) I'm just going to have to ignore the door for the next few days, and tell the kids to hide!

Question Author
B00, it wasn't the War Cry was it? The Salvation Army publication? They used to sell them in pubs. Don't know if they still do.
Citadel = rofl

I meant the War Cry. Thanks Naomi
But God would ensure his son was a real hunk wouldn't he ?
