C of E Archbishop blows gaff on investment more important than congregation!

The Archbishop of Barnstaple (North Devon) has announced that the Church of England will be using its land - i.e a money-making scheme, by allowing the establishment of wind farms (horrible, inefficient windmills) by a private company (or companies) in a number of places that his own Company (commonly called Church of England) has invested in.
Apparently the spin-doctors have devised the phrase "to preserve god's creation" and conforms with "gospel values". (PMSL).
THIS MONEY-MAKER SPITS IN THE EYES OF VIRTUALLY ALL RESIDENTS AND HIS CONGREGATION IF HE HAS ONE.

Can’t think, off the top of my head, of any chapter or verse that says humans have a duty to ‘preserve God’s creation’. I think we should care for the planet, but I’ll save that for another thread.

Long thought that the government subsidised 'wind farms' because they have long subsidised other types of farm and were confused by the word 'wind'.They may, of course, have read it as the same as 'windy' and thought they were helping crofters in North Uist.

Investors do pile in. One group has tried to build several around here. The latest one was turned down because it might interfere with radar and navigation equipment connected with flights from airports and military airfields! We were arguing for bats but the authorities more for planes like 'Foxbats'

Dear DTcrosswordfan,
I am sick of apologising for my stupid pseudonym but Ed of AB says it's impossible. To cut to the chase - nuclear fission reactors are efficient and safe - no time to wait for "fusion" reactors. The French have demonstrated safety of "fission" reactors, if built for electricity generation only. I fact we have to buy it from them. Very early reactors were "thrown" up to manufacture atomic and hydrogen bombs, with little regard to safety. Hence Irish Sea is highly radioactive. This was due to Windscale, now renamed Sellafield in attempt to hide our shame.
