does Bolton have a Cathedral

I live near Bolton and people have told me over the years that it has a Cathedral yet i have no idea where it is

You seem to being wise after the fact. Your first post suggested that you believed that a city had to have a cathedral. My post merely pointed out that this is not, in fact, correct. Conversely, and simply as a point of interest, there are 16 towns with Cathedrals

mike11111- I assume Yakatak is talking about Bolton in Lancs/ Greater Manchester rather than the area of Skipton, Yorks in which Bolton Abbey can be found

Last post on this from me, Z-M, as it's going nowhere.
My first post said "It's not a city so maybe not". I didn't say "it's not a city so definitely not". It is the case that most places with cathedrals are also cities, and most cities have a cathedral- so I think one is a good indicator of the other.... and in fact I was right as we have indeed established now that it has no cathedral.
But thanks for pointing out some counter-examples

It's interesting to see that we have quite a few ABers living in/close to the town of Bolton. I worked there for a while once.

Well if any of you haven't been to Bolton Abbey you should go, it's lovely and beautiful countryside. And the Devonshire Arms is worth a visit.
