If voting was compulsory would British society change ?

Surely the last election demonstrated exactly that. There was a choice between Tory propped up by Libs, or Labour propped up by Libs. Two choices.

As Andyvon says, a 'none of the above' box would be pointless and time-wasting. If there were no such box to tick I have already worked out how I would clobber the system from the start. Here's how...

I would put myself forward as the Dustbin candidate, with no policies, merely offering the electorate a different sort of 'none of the above' option. I may well get elected, in which case, after a short while having fun shouting 'Answer the Question!' at PMQs and boozing in the subsidised bars, I would resign - thus causing a by-election at which I would again stand as the Dustbin candidate. And so on... until the whole daft idea is abandoned.
Doubt it, as all politicians only care about themselves..
