Yesterday on Breakfast talk of the wonderful Film on the life of a Clothes designer. Today a woman saying she has to buy Designer shoes for her Kids or they are picked on at school. Society at its best ?

I had this conversation with my other half this morning. My son will be wearing whatever shoes I can afford to buy him when he needs them,regardless of whether they are the latest Rockport (or other brand) boots or the Ben Sherman ones I got him from M and M sports last term.

I was in Waterstones the other day and this child (approximately 8 or 9) was buying Moleskin notebooks for school! It cost his mum a fortune. I assume he goes to the local private school where having a pack of notebooks from Woolies would probably be enough to get you expelled!
