Well,in our(country)pub,the Landlady is the chief person serving customers.
She has two other staff as well,but likes to be the host.

I used to know a landlord who just used to sit on the customers side, drinking all evening. Never appeared to do any work, but he only had one leg, so maybe he was in pain if he stood for too long.
Trouble was, he was always COMPLETELY legless by the end of the night.....

I once worked in a pub, had to go downstairs to change a barrel, and the landlord was having a pee while cleaning while hosing out the basement!!
