The ability to tell the difference between the three.
Question Author
And, you can only be between two,
Of the three - wisdom. You can be knowledgeable or very intelligent, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're wise.
Oh. : (
Well that's my opinion, anyway.
Question Author
Look up the definitions of each attribute.
It surprised me when I read them.
I would have agreed with you, Ice Maiden.
Are you going to tell me, to save me the laborious job at this time of the day.....pretty please?
I would have said wisdom also....!
Question Author
Well, it's intelligence, because it requires the other two.
Eliminate intelligence and knowledge. They are too vague.
If you can reel off endless facts, general knowledge etc., and win quiz games; are you intelligent? No, just full of trivia. Knowledgeable? Yes, but to what end?
But ... if you can consider a question, and give a perceptive solution, then you may be wise. Consider Solomon and the disputed baby, for instance ... wisdom.

That's a superb example, winebuyer!
Yes, and I think that if you're wise, you can use whatever intelligence and knowledge to its best advantage.
Hey, thanks IceM.
I feel all ... flushed !!!
Question Author
To be intelligent you have to know a lot from all directions and know how to apply that knowledge to the best advantage.
You can't be wise about something that you have never heard of .
Bog-standard common sense, that's all!!
Yes you can, because you can apply your experience and (wisdom) to a variety of new situations.
Okay ... let's assume knowledge is out of the contest. if I learn all the entries in the phone book, I have vast knowledge, but it's pointless. So ... it's down to a head-to-head between Wisdom and Intelligence.

Just nipping off to pop a bit of "knowledge" in the Food And Drink section ...

Question Author
Solomon wasn't wise....he was intelligent.
Think about it.
So "The Wisdom Of Solomon" has been the longest running misnomer in history???
I think maybe he had a degree of both, but the example with the baby, definitely shows great wisdom.
