What a blinding cheek. Who the hell do BBC planners think they are ? I have my programme recorder set to BBC 1 to record East Enders & when I come to switch on I find that I have actually recorded bleed'n tennis because programmes have been switched & E E has been on BBC 2. Why not put the tennis on BBC2 instead of upsetting all the scheduled progs on 1 ? Sorryyto admit to you fanatics I DO NOT LIKE TENNIS.

They probably have their reasons. I too hate it when you record a match and go out. when you come back you find you have recorded something else. With technology they have today it should be possible for the BBC to flag the channel/prog/match you started with and follow it around. I think i might write to BBC.

I wouldn't mind but because of my age I don't even pay for a viewing licence. It's a bit much innit ?
I am with you there Whiskey
Yes, absolutely ridiculous. I like tennis (and not EE). Paused live coverage to have a nice ham salad. Returned to find that two minutes after I paused coverage was switched to BBC1.

Why do the idiots at the BBC think people will only watch tennis (which obviously costs them a fortune) if it is on BBC1?

I agree, it was a silly idea, and I love tennis. I can't understand why they didn't just keep Wimby on 2 and the usual shows in their regular slots on 1.
This happens every Wimbledon when Murray is playing. Do they really think that people won't hit button 2 if they want to watch him? Maybe they feel that they've spent so much on the rights they ought to put it on their 'premier channel' as often as possible.
They whipped QI off just after it started, too. Some moronic decisions being made, it seems.
What possible difference does it make if it's on BBC1 or BBC2? Everybody has both channels don't they? They make out that EVERYBODY loves tennis or football or whatever when it's obvious they don't! It makes my blood boil!
When it's scheduled to be shown on BBC1 and they show it on BBC2 it affects those who are unable to watch live and set up video recorders.
We can all watch on catchup so nobody need miss anything
Its so old fashioned BBC thinking they need to show the main event on their main channel. They have no idea, absolutely no idea how angry it makes us all. Neither sports fans nor avoiders are served well.
I disagree hc4361, not everyone can watch on catch up.
Everyone on here can, Maydup.
