Muslims generally come in for some stick, and I am among those who regularly dish it out.

But this chap is a credit to his religion, and it is only a pity there are not more like him, who are brave or sincere enough to speak out.

Posted a couple of days ago, aog.
all too rare among our immigrants but well said. The sad thing is that he'll probably get stick from the anti British now!
Took the mail long enough to find it, I saw this video just after the Hebdo attack.
why did you not report it then talbot?
Report it?

Sorry Svejk must have missed it.

But tracing back I still cannot find it, but I did notice one that I missed, and it was this "Here's one that got away".

Must have been somewhere else that day.

Now you are confusing me, that was about Jason Manford

Pull me up for a repeat thread of you must, but really??????????
It's a Facebook link AOG, you probably never clicked on it.
Well you can't say he hasn't integrated. Multi lingual as well. Not only does he speak better English than I speak Arabic but has learnt Anglo Saxon vocabulary as well. Good for him. Now we only have another 2million ,999,999 to follow his doctrine :-)
Yes, well done him - whenever he went public with it. We now need an enormous outcry from Muslims expressing similar sentiments.

A couple of years ago all the lamp-posts in our area of France were decorated with placards saying (in translation) 'If you don't like it here, if you don't speak French - GO!'

In Yorkshire speech - 'Now't wrong wi' that'. This chap is a brave man. I have said that there are decent Muslims.
It's all very well asking Muslims to speak out but if we don't listen when they do it's not particularly brilliant. The Daily Mail article says that "it is not clear ... when the video was made" -- but, at the very least, it's been around for at least ten months.

It is difficult enough for the moderate, peace-loving Muslims to be able to speak out, and many here keep shouting that they have to speak even louder still. We have to listen to their efforts and give them more credit.

As a side note, it's amusing to see how many news outlets are reporting that this video was made "as a response to the recent attacks in Paris"... when it predates them by some distance. Apparently nowhere's done its research properly -- Took me ten seconds to track down a far earlier version.
Been on youtube since January.
Yes, well done him - although had anyone other than a Muslim said it - and I've been saying it for years - they'd have been castigated as a bigot, racist, etc., etc. Furthermore, I don't think he's entirely correct in applying his reasoning to all Muslims. Basically he says that they come to the west for a better life, but I have it on the authority of Keyplus (among others) that they come here not for a better life, but to 'show us the way', so I really would like to see him - and those who think as he does - address that issue in the appropriate quarters.

Jim, /if we don't listen when they do it's not particularly brilliant//

His message isn't intended for us. It's his fellow Muslims who need to listen.
ps. I assume the video was made after Charlie Hebdo - but it really doesn't matter when it was made. The message is there.

He has his on way nut I would say the same thing without using "F" words and that will be more Islamic. However no one has come here as most of these people are born in these countries and are actually going all over the world to spread terrorism.
Keyplus, //I would say the same thing ...//

If you were honest - and that would be a first - no you wouldn't. Not only have you said that Muslims come here not for a better life but to show us the way, you have said you would like to see the flag of Islam flying over Downing Street. He is talking to you! Listen!
